I'm Yunus Akbag, Owner of Saltanat Rugs. We are an exclusive, worldwide retailer of fine handmade carpets, kilims, tribal sumaks, and suzanis. In order to provide the ultimate variety of artworks to our customers, our specially trained group of agents is active throughout Turkey, Iran, and the U.S. We are conveniently located in the heart of Istanbul's lively Sultanahmet district, just a few steps away from its world famous mosques, palaces, and museums.

From my roots in a famous carpet making city in Central Anatolia to my years of experience as a rug dealer in Turkey and the United States, my appreciation and knowledge of handmade artworks has matured to the point where I can truly educate and inspire my clients to focus on choosing pieces that will speak and appeal to their individual aesthetics.
